I dont know where to even start with this entry. I guess il just start with this...


Everything was going great in my life, college courses, friends, I was getting closer to god, even my M life was going great. Just so you know life can turn on you fast.

My mom gets a call from my grandmother saying that my grandfather is in the hospital. He was having colon pains for about a month and they didnt know what it was so they finally took him to the hospital. My mom says we are going to lousiana, so i pack some clothes and I get ready to go. I only packed a week of clothes cause I thought that everything was fine and that mom was acting on impulse. We arrive at lousiana around 5:00 am and leave to go to the hospital at 6:00 am.

We enter the hospital and grandpa is about to have a test done. The doctors took a camera and looked inside his colon. We wait in the waiting room for about 10-15 mins. The specialist comes in and says that his colon is very inflamed and that it looks like his colon is filled with a tumor, but he's not sure. He ran tests on samples and said he will get back to us on wed. That was sun. So we play the waiting game and I stay at my grandmother's house and in the morning I go to the hospital. Soon we get the results that it is cancer and that it might have had spread to the lymph nodes.

Grandpa starts acting strange like hallucinating and what not. His eye is droopy. All his doctors (he had like 15 of em) say that its just the medications. A week later they run tests on his bone marrow and on his spine. It comes back positive also. They do a precdure where they put stents in his kidneys because he cant pee or pass gas. They do that and they find out that the tumor was pushing on the kidneys and bladder. A few days later a colostamy bag and a few days later they find out that its in his brain. That the droopy eye and hallucinations werent from the medication. We prepare for the worse and Grandpa does too. He tells everyone to get stuff like paperwork and what not because he had this planned out already.

He comes home on hospice and they just give him medication and everything. The nurses dont stay, but my mom and family stay with grandpa and give him everything he needs. I enroll in school down here on friday and sunday my grandfather dies. I learn to find that my father is still with his girlfriend and that he was lying to me and my mom wants me to stay down here till i graduate. So Im currently living with my cousin Pat and his mom. His mom is a teacher so i can go to the same school he does. MY father tends to lie to me and so i cut off contact with him because he was hurting me and my mother. Their court date is set for Nov.22. I had to drop my college course and had to leave all my friends to be down here. MY mom lives with Grandma and helps here through this. All during this I kept my faith in God and my family seen that I was very religious because I have been ever since I joined my church in Arkansas.

I know its been hard for me, but I have pushed through and come out with God on my side. My mother always leaned on me in arkansas because of no family, but here she has family all around. In arkansas I leaned on God for support and still in louisiana I tend to do so. He has helped me through alot and I just ask all of you don't hate or dispise God when tough times are happening. Love him always. God does things for a reason. I know I lost my friends, and my college course, but down here theres a bigger band who is more organized than my other one, there is more intense learning, and im closer to family. LIKE REALLY CLOSE. I have so much family down here its not even funny lol.
